Artist Books
This format is a new venture for Jean. What interests her is how books are used as containers and as objects having intrinsic poetic qualities. She enjoys the precision involved in measuring, folding and cutting but also experimenting with the form, surface texture, and sheer range of what a book can encompass. The artist describes herself as lucky to be in contact with other makers who are pushing this form into new and fascinating areas – which she hopes to contribute to.
